EVERYEODYS PICTURES. MONDAY. On Moml:i,v next at the Princess Theatre a special J-'irst National Attraction “A Self-made Failure” will Ik* screened. William Boaudine. who directed “A Self-Made Failure,” the ■I. K. McDonald production for First National release, has the reputation among picture producers as tlie man who knows more about transplanting human interest to the screen than any other director in tilmdom. His technique at handling children is nothing short of marvellous and ids ability to put human interest upon the screen is explained by the fact that he himself is intensely human. During the making of the scenes in “A Self-Made Failure,” in which Floyd Hamilton and Belt Alexander arc at the parting of (ho ways, the director talked to Ben until the hitler was in tears. Hamilton’s eyes were moist and Ihe tear drops were aeLUillly coursing down Beaudinc’s cheeks while every foot of the scene was filmed. Booth Tarkiugton’s intimate knowledge of children was iirimarily responsible for the human stories of “Penrod anti Sam" and “Boy of Mine,” hut it is extremely doubtful that any other director save Wliliam Beandine could have transplanted their humanness to the screen. .1. K. McDonald wrote: “A Self-Made Failure” and Beauiline has faiihfully placed it on the screen. The other pictures to he shown on Monday next are a two reel comedy and the famous racine series “The Fast Steppers.” Miss A\ illiams’ ‘orchestra and usual prices.

On Wednesday “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” and on Thursday next a double attraction, vaudeville and pictures, headed by Ficd Foley magician, ventriloquist and lightning sketch artist. Tbe star picture in Thursday's display is entitled “Flaming Passions.”
