BRITISH COLFMBIA LIQUOR LAW OTTAWA, June 21.
The Government of British Columbia has passed legislation eliminating the export of liquor houses and restricting the ’importation of liquor into the province, to the Government, which will maintain the liquor stoics. This legislation is intended to stop the practice, which lias been operating for three years, under which one million dollars worth of Scotch whisky destined for San Francisco has been shipped to Vancouver from Glasgow and thence reshipped bv alleged export houses aboard bootlegging steamers for distribution.
