Preliminary to the selection ol > New Zealand League team for Australia, Canterbury yesterday played a combined Otago-West toast team at Monioa Park. The match attracted a very large attendance. The combined team wen by 12 to 3 after a fast and exciting game, Mear sand Desmond scored tries for the Combined team, both being converted by Mount, who also kicked a penalty goal. Sanders i; on an unconverted try for Canterbury.

The following League Rugby team including two emergencies has been selected to represent Die South Island against, North Island to play at Auckland on June 27th: Brosnalian (( anterbury), I’arks (Canterbury), McKay (Otago). The French authorities have notified that thov cannot send a Rugby team next vear. but will consider an invitation for 1927. v.lten they will be able to send a fully representative side.
