BOARD STANDS FIRM
MELBOURNE. May 7. The Tramway Board alter a long discussion with the Trades Hall Disputes Committee and other representatives of the men. refused to reinstate the gripman involved and the strike remains unsettled. The Board's attitude is that work must lie resumed before anything further is done in the matter. SHIMMING DISPUTES. (Received this dav at 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, May 7.
