CHARLES RAY, MONDAY
In “Nineteen and Phyllis” Charles Ray has scored another cinema triumph. The producion of “Nineteen and Phyllis” at the Princess Theatre provides a Jmost wholesome and refreshening entertainment. It is a delightful story of youthful romance picturised in shining and entertaining manner. Replete with humour 1 and founded on the boyish romance of a nineteen-year-old youngster. It is a typical Charles Ray vehicle. In “Nineteen and Phyllis” Ray is seen as a town dandy, whose greatest aim in life is to dazzle the eyes of the fair young miss whom he some day hopes to win. In the leading feminine part is pretty little Clara Horton, who in the role of Phyllis gives a delightful characterisation. Lincoln Stedman the jovial fat hoy of the films, has the role of Andrew’s rival in love. Splendid acting predominates through out this very human and entertaining picture. The supporting pictures in Monday’s display are the latest Pathe Gazette and a two-reel Vitagraph Comedy entitled “Sauce and Senoritas.” ■-'*
