The annual report of tho Jockey Club states the stakes distributed last year amounted to £121,939 sterling, the added money being £101,500 sterling. The total for tho previous year was £99,533. The amount passed; through the totalisator was £1,280,000, against £1,130,OQO previously. The Government share was £106,000. Government also received £47,000 from admission and bookmakers’ Tax. Federal Entertainments Tax realised £120,000.
