WEST COAST RUGBY UNION. At tho weekly meeting of the W.C.R.U. held last evening, the Hokitika Sub-Union wrote re the Dittman Shield, stating that they were under the impression that the Shield was for competition between Westland and Inangahua. They also asked for conditions governing the competition. It was decided to roply that the Shield was for competition between YY estland Greymouth and Inangahua; other conditions to bo intimated to the Hokitika Union. Selectors. It was decided on the request of the Btiller Rugby Union to appoint two selectors, one from each Union, to select the combined team to play the Springboks at Greymouth on August 17. Notice of motion was given: “That the rule re three selectors on the West Coast Selectiom Committee be amended to read: ‘three selectors be appointed by the W.C.R.U., and one each by each sub-Union.’ It was decided that the N.Z.R.U. be requested to confirm the Springboks fixture for August 17th at Greymouth. Re the Grey-Hokitika match on Saturday next, T. Mclntosh was appointed Captain, and Mr T. O’Donnell manager . THE MAORI TEAM. TOUR OF AUSTRALIA.
