PREMIER’S VISIT
TO ARRIVE HERE WEDNESDAY.
The Hon W. F. Massey telegraphed the Mayor (Mr G. A. Perry) this morning as follows: — “J propose to arrive in Hokitika about six o’clock on Wednesday evening, remaining until mid-day on Thursday,, when I proceed to Greymouth.” The Mayor and County Chairman are in receipt of telegrams from Rt Hon AY. F. Massey, stating he proposes to arrive in Hokitika on Wednesday evening about (5 o’clock and remain until mid-day on Thursday. Mr P. R. Climie of the Canterbury Progress League wires:—“ln spite of great pressure of public business at Wellington have persuaded Prime Minister to leave special train for Hokitika Wednesday, on understanding you arrange. special motor, Otira to Hokitika, to leaA’o Otira about 3 p.m. Party will comprise five, including Mr Henderson (President) and myself. Will remain Hokitika till mid-day Thursday, then leave for Greymouth.”
