The New York “World’s” Boston correspondent states tliree policemen were eh oi and a (number of persons injured in the May Day riots between soldiers sailors and radicals. CASUALTIES IN PARIS. PARIS, May 2. The night of May Day, passed off in (Paris quietly. During the day there were 250 police wounded in Paris, 115 of them seriously.
The civilian casualties are not stated. The crowd used revolvers at several points. One in the crowd was shot dead at the Place de Longnera. The injuries to civilians are chiefly due to the police sabres, batons and sticks.
A meeting of the general Confederations of French Labour Unions has condemned the Government’s action. The Confederation will meet to-day to consider the situation. . The Frtnch Socialist Members of Parliamnt will interpellate th Govern- , ment .on the action taken when the : .Chamber of Deputies meet.
