THE INFLUENZA. (Received this day at 12.25 p.m) SYDNEY, March 21
In reference to the increase of influenza; it has been officially stated that suspicious eases reported are immediately removed to the hospital. Under fifty per cent 'prove to be of tho pneumonic type. Government has appointed a Commission of three leading medicos to watch the progress of influenza with a. view to securing information regarding the cause and treatment of the disease.
LAND FOR SOLDIERS. SYDNEY, This Day
Mr Holman has announced that Government contemplates an expenditure of eleven millions during the next two years for settling 8,500 returned soldiers on the land.
