LIBERTY LOAN.

AN APPEAL

FELLOW CITIZENS-

Encouraged by your magnificent response to my previous appeal, I approach you with great confidence to again support "the self-reliant policy you then so heartily endorsed. The freedom of all free nations and the very existence of our Empire have boon attacked as never before in this world’s history. f lhc blood of our brave and noble nofenders has mingled with that ot our kindred and Allies in the vast stream which shall ere long overwhelm with its flood the inhuman perpetrators of unspeakable atrocities against the weak and defenceless. . . . The supreme effort is still in the future. That it will he made, that it will succeed, is as certain as that the thrice welcome daybreak ever succeeds the darkest night. I'.ven now the day is breaking, hut "e must still go forward. We must still provide in full measure the funds neseesary to finish the task - so earnestly hegiins, so bravely continued. I feel sure that you will not tail T feel sure your response,to this mu Liberty Loan will fie both prompt and adequate, and (lint the M rensurv < will lie so replenished that means will fie abundantly forthcoming ;to uphold the. honour of those heroes wfi« have died foi; our liberty and of those who are battling for it against powerful foes. Remember that no price is too dear to nay for liberty. .TOSLPT! itFOROiv WARD.
