WELLINGTON, This Day. The High Commissioner reports from London July 7th. at 12.40. p.m. Sir Douglas Haig states: There of Wytschaim our lino was again slightly advanced.

A French communique states: There is a very active reciprocal artillery /activity in the Champagne, notably at Casque Teton. Enemy attempts west of Mount Cornillet mid south-east of Tahuro were ©asily repulsed. Our artillery carried out- a destructive fire on German organisation north and west of Hill 304.

The High Commissioner reports from London on Bth July at 3.40 p.m.: French official report states that between the A'sno and I’Affffaux the Germans, following a very intense bombardment, attacked four separate sections with a- maximum strength. Our desperate resistance frustrated them, the enemy losing heavily and the positions being maintained.
