SOLDIERS' MEMORIAL UNVEILED.

DANNEVIRKE, June 9. A marbie memorial tablet placed at the Oannevirke High School by the Old ±nipil,s Association in memory of 99 former scholars who made the "supreme sacrifice in the world war, was unveiled on Sunday afternoon in the presence of a biff assemblage, the speakers being Mr E A. Ransom, M.P., the Mayor (Mr. A. J. O. Runcumm), Mr J. Mac Donald president of the Old .Pupils' Association) and Mr. T H S Lloyd (chairman of the Board of Gov ernors) Of the 29 names on the tablet fire were of those who had won the distinction of having been dux of the school.
