LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS.
The Bank of New Zealand produce department has received the following advice from its London office under date May 30:—
Butter.—Fair inquiry. IGGs to 168s per cwt.
Cheese. —Fair inquiry; 82s to 83s per cwt.
frozen Meat. —There is a better tone in the market for "wethers, but ewes ar© dull owing to lack of demand. Lambs remain steady. The market for ox beef has improved owing to short supplies. The market for cow beef is steady, but much depends upon supplies coming forward. Wethers, light 6Jd to 7ld per lb, heavy o|d to 6|d; ewes, 4£d to s^d; lambs, under 42's 10* dto lid, over 42's 9^d to 10id> seconds lOd to MHd; ox hinds 5d to 5Jd, fores 3d to 3^d; cow hinds 4|d to sd, fores 2|d to 3d.
