CORRESPONDENCE.

DEHORNING CQY/S

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I should be glad if one or two of your readers who are expert- dairymen could give me their opinions as regard's the ijght time of year to dehorn cows. I have heard so many different opinions as to the correct time for dehorning, that one doesn't know which to believe. 1 had intended dehorning as soon as the cows had calved, but a local dairyman did that last season, and he said "never again." The reason was that the cows, when yarded after dehorning, caused them to knock each other about that it took months for them to heal. Trusting to get valuable information upon the subject.—l am, etc.,

"COW BOY."
