R.S.A.

LACK OF INTEREST

(BY TELEGRAPH —PRKB9 ASSOCIATION.)

WELLINGTON, June 5. At the annual meeting of the local branch of the E.S.A. stress was laid on the lamentable falling off in the membership. Financially the position had got worse and worse, and only the profits from rents kept things going. These would be severely cut into to carry on. One member said the dismal fact was that the ''digger" did not support his association.

In a discussion on the Poppy Day Fund it was alleged that while Wellington and Christehurch were following the ruling of the head association, Auckland and Dunedin did not allocate the stipulated quota to the headquarters' fund.
