I After the match the visitors were en-! , tertained to a social evening at the ; foresters' Hall, where dinner was pre- | ! pared by the stewards. After the i 'inner man" had been attended to the president proposed the toast of "The iiing. Harmony was the. order of the evening, Messrs Richards, Fife, Barker, Taylor, Nicholls, Campbell, Dorrance and Ren wick contributing items w£t «T c-r t *} 1 «nfored. Mr J. Renwick officiated at the piano. The usual **/£?* Was honoured, and Mr Webster (Wanganui captain), in responding to the toast of the teams, expressed the appreciation of all for the good time they had had, and hoped to repay Taranaki by defeating them at j Wanganui. "Auld Lang Syne" brought | a very enjoyable evening to a close. The Kaponga team to play Ha.wera fiJli aWer, av??
