It reduces by twenty-five per cent, the taxes on 1923 incomes payable ' this .year. More than a score of excise '■> and miscellaneous taxes will be repeal- • ed within thirty days.

WASHINGTON, June 2. _ The Senate approved the contsitu- • tional amendment empowering the Federal Government to limit, regulate, and ' prohibit the employment of children under eighteen. The amendment has : already been approved-by the House of Representatives and now goes to the :- Senate for ratification.
