The inclusion in the team of three Taranaki players will be received with satisfaction in the province, and South Taranaki will be especially pleased to learn that two Hawera Club players— West and Brown—have been selected. West is a very popular player of the game in Taranaki, and is always a hard worker. When he played for New Zealand against the Springboks in company with Fogarly in the third test he did great work, and though he is nearly 30 years of age he is still a Tenable and willing player, who is happiest when he is kept busiest. West is good on the line-out, is a powerful kick, and in dribbling is generally able to keep good control of the ball. Brown is a young player of great promise, whose speed and accuracy have often thrilled the Taranaki public. He is a thr^s-quarter who, Ms many football adm: ers confidently predict, will make a great name for himself. He is resonrreful, is quick in making decisions, and is a player who takes a lot of stopping when once he gets a chance. His progress will be watched with keen interest throughout Taranaki. Brown, who captained the New Plymouth Boys' High School team last year in the Moascar Cud matches, is 19 years of age.
