DUNEDIN, Junfc 2 At a meeting of the Otago A.S.R.S it was unanimously ■ resolved. •'This meeting records its protest against the reversion to th£ 48-hour week by the Government. We view it as an act of vmdiebyeness by a Government insecure m its administrative position and ever ready to retrieve its mistakes at the expense of the workers." *v «V 't S,- st? ted by a member that when tne iublic li.xpenditure Adjustment Act mooted a canvass was made of M..F. s, over 50 promising to vote against it. but when the matter came before the House oniy the Labour members opposed it.
It is understood that the general feeling at Hillside is tnat the National Executive sold the men when the strike was cailed off. Hillside favours the V\ anganui suggestion of a conference for all branches.
