SALE OF FRISIANS.
MR, A. H. STREET'S HER3X
The first North Taranaki dispersal sale this year of pedigree stock was held yesterday at Bell Block, when Mr. A. H. Street disposed of practically the whole of his pedigree Friesian herd. A large bench of buyers was present, representing all parts of the North. Island, but few seemed anxious to bid high and the auctioneers (Messrs. Newton King, Ltd.) had to exert strenuous efforts to maintain spirited competition. The entire herd of 78 beasts offered was disposed of at an average price of approximately £30. Messrs. W. A. Kyle, Otaki, and J. Court, Auckland, were the principal buyers, Mr. Court paying the top price of the day (102 guineas) for the seven-year-old cow Woodlands' Pontiac Pauline by Colantha.
