CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER,

At the criminal sessions of the Supreme Oeusrifc to-day, Mr. Justice Stringer reviewed the charge of manslaughter against John Andrew Fox, ■arising from the death of a policeman named Todd^ who, with, accused and .another man, -was returning from a dance to Onehunga when the car collided with a Chinaman's cart.

His Honour said the evidence would mhow tirat Fox wa s driving in a reckless fashion. The Chinaman's cart was on its proper side of -the road. Evidently they %ad driven to Papakura to get a supply of liquor and, on returning to Auekjan-d early in the morning, seemed to frave made beasts of themselves. There would 'he little -difficulty in establishing -a 'prima facie case against Fox
