Considering the size ot the yarding it was a good sale, brightness being partly accounted for by good rams in several of tne 'country districts. Specially good two-tootn halfbred ewes,, 455 ; good two-tooth halfbred ewes, 34s 3d to 38s; good three%uarter-bred twotooth ewes, 325; good two-tooth liomney cross ewes, 325; good four, six arid eight-tooth Romney cross ewes, 29s 6d to 31s; lower conditioned four, six and eight tooth Rcftnney cross ewes, 32s to' 295; four, six and eight-tooth halfbued ewes, 32s 6d to 345; lour and five-year hali-bred ewes, 24s iid to 27s 10d^ fail-ing-mouthed halfbred «-.vvs, 22s to 24s 3d; low-conditioned inferior threequ&r-ter-bred sound and failing-mouthed ewes, 18s 6d to 235; aged ewes, 6s 6d to 14s bd; good forward lambs, 21s 6d to 23s sd; ordinary, 17s .6d to 21s; medium, 15s 6d to 17s 3d; small inferior, lis to 14s 6d; good four ai*i six-tootk wethers, 23s to 25s 7d; ordinary, I9s to 22s 3d; inferior, 18s to 18s 6d. Extra prime iambs 37s v a few special to 38s lld, prime 30s 6d to 345, medium 27s to 30s, light 23s to 26s W.

Fat Sheep.—A slightly larger yarding, at an easing in values of from ls to 2s per head, ewes being principally affected. Exporters were no* operating so freely as last week. Extra prime wethers 38s 9d, prime 31s 6d to 34s 6d, medium 27s (sd to 31s, light 24s to 275; extra prime ewes 34s Id, prime 25s rid to 295, medium 22s 6d to 255, light 20s to 225, old 16s to 19s. Fat Cattle.—A vea-y heavy yarding of 600, including 85 from tke North Island. Values were down by 20s per head, best beef making from 28s to 31s per lOOvbs. There were some passings. Extra prime steers £16 10s, prime £11 to £14, medium £8 10s to £10, light £5 10s to £8 15s; extra prime heifers £9, prime £6 lOte to £8 15s, ordinary £3 10s to £5 10s; extra prime cows £9, prime £5 10s to £7 10s, medium £3 5s to £4.
