CHHISTCHURCatt, Feb. 28

At the New Zealand Methodist Conference to-night, the president-elect, the Rev. A. Ashcroft (Thames), was inducted. The Rev. Frank Thompson (Christehurch) was elected vice-presi-dent for the ensuing year. The president announced that the first ballot for the election of president for 1925 had resulted as follows: Revs. A. Lochore 5 votes, W. A. Hay "8, W. J. Elliott 11, P. N. Knight 66, T. R. Richards 98. The second ballot- between the Revs. Knight (Auckland) and Richards (Napier) resulted 1 Rev. Knight 84, Rev. Richards 119. The Rev. T. R. Richards was accordingly elected president for 1920. The ftev. A. N. Scotter was elected secretary for 1925. .■■*■■■■■
