CHARGES OF TREASON
A FARCICAL TRIAL

The names of the other defendants are Ernstpoechner, police prefect at Munich under Yon Kahr, who would have been a Bavarian Minister and President if the plot had succeeded; Dr. Wilhemfrick, formerly chief of the political department, Munich] PoliceLieutenant Prueckner, who led the storm troops into Munich; Captain Roehra, who seized the military headquarters from which Ludendorff and Hitler issued their decrees; Dr. Weber, veterinary surgeon, who formed a fighting league; Colonel Kniebel, military chief of the fighting league; Lieutenants Wagner and Pernet, who were allotted special tasks in the plan of capturing Munich. The Munich correspondent of the Daily Express describes the trial as really a farce, entitled "White-washing Ludendorff." It is anticipated that Ludendorff .will be found not guilty and told not to 'do it again. The others may be sentenced in the second division.
