DARGAVILLE RACES

The totalisator handled £7808, a decrease on the figures when the meeting was last held at Dargaville two years ago. One owner, Mr. H. Kimber, won four races, two each with Miss Lucullus and Winning Lass. Results:—>

Finlayson Handicap,—Lady Patience 1, Starland 2, Moerewa 3. Also started: Octopiete, Camo. Royal Red. Time, IA7.

Maiden Handicap.—Lady Arch 1, Moreen 2, King Multifid. Also started: Owen. Lady Gauntlet, Koko. Time, 1.20.

Dargaville Cup— Goldplane 1, Royal Box 2, Peter Amans 3. Only starters. A good race. Time, 2.12. Settlers' Handicap.—Miss Lucullus 1, Lady Frederick 2, Jaffna 3. Also started: Scrap o' Paper, Oetoplete 3 Mavoureen, Miss Theory, Lady Diamond. Won easily. Time, 1.5. Scrap o' Paper lost his rider, and D. Beere, the rider of Miss Theory, broke a leg and was taken to hospital.

Railway Handicap.—Winning Lass 1, Gum Chips 2, Nemaline 3. Only starters. Won easily. Time, 1.20.

Welter Handicap.—Peter Amans 1, Starland 2, Scottish Knight 3. Also started : Lady Patience, Camo. Time, 1.49 1-5.

Awakino Stakes.—'Miss Lucullus 1, Scrap o' Paper 2, Miss Theory 3. Also started: Lady Frederick, Koko, Lady Diamond. Time, 1.19. " ~

Farewell Handicap.—Winning Lass 1, Gum Chips 2, Nemaline 3. Also started : Moerewa. Time, 1.18.
