LATE SISTEE M. ST. FELICITAS.

The remains of the late Sister M. St. Felicitas of the Convent, Kapouga, were interred in the Kaponga cemetery on Saturday last, December 29. The funeral took place from the Catholic Church, where full Requiem Mass had been sung. The celebrant was the ' rector, Rev. Father JSf. Moore, Rev. Father Lynch, of New Plymouth, being master of ceremonies. The choir consisted of the following: Rev. Fathers O'Dwyer (Manaia), Duffy, C.S.S.R., Kennedy (Opunake), Butler (New Plymouth), Lenihan. (Stratford/, Rev. P. Breen and Mr A. Breen (Stratford) and Rev. Father Andersen, M.A., Holy Cross College, Mosgiel, under whose able leadership the" singing was most • devotionally rendered. After Mass an eloquent appreciation of the deceased sister was given by the pastor, Rev. Father N. Moore, who spoke most feelingly of the life work and virtues of the deceased sister. When the Absolution had been gvien the funeral cortege was formed, the order being as follows: Cross bearer, acolytes clergy, school pupils in uniform and Hibernians. Besides about forty religious of the Order, who had come from the various houses in Taranaki, numerous friends of the sisters followed the remains to their last resting place, showing the esteem in which the late sister was held. While the body was being borne from the church Mr P. Clarke, of New Plymouth, who presided at the organ, played the Dead March in Saul. At the graveside the Benedictus was solemnly sung by the visiting clergy. The pall-bearers were Messrs D. P. i<\ Malone, C. Crowley, Jas. Kissiek, D. Fitzgerald, W. Melville and P. Hammersley.
