TIMARU, Jan. 3. The New South Wales tennis players stopped at Timaru to-day en route to Dunedin and played exhibition games. Pike and Reid beat Goss and Sheppard (Christchurch) 6—2, 6—5; Reid and Poulton were beaten by F. B Smythe (Dunedin) and Warne Pearse (Temuka) 6—4, 6 —4; and in a one-set match Me Dougall (Dunedin) and Schadock (West Coast) beat Pike and Poulton 6—4.
