The Sheffield Shield match between New South. Wales and Victoria was continued in fine .and muggy weather and on a good wicket. Owing to Collins' fine defensive batting New South Wales ar© now almost on even terms with. Victoria. New South Wales, in their first innings, made 268 (Collins 108, Oldfield 49). Liddicnt took four wickets for 50. Victoria, in their second innings, have lost two wickets for 136 (Woodful not out 37, Ryder not out 54, Mayne 20).
