The Madrid correspondent of >the Daily Express .says an JSnglisb. woman and her daughter were awakened during the night by .an intruder in their residence near Y.illarea.d, in the province of Casiellon. He declared :he loved the daughter and wished ±o marry her. The girl, he was merely ;a burglar, seized .a golf club and attacked the man .fiercely. The intruder snatched another " xlub from tine mother's ha*fl, wlith \which he defenfled himself. !The mother fled, and returned armed with ;a revolver.
