VILLAGE SETTLEMENTS IN DOMINIONS.

Barlow, Minister of Labour, in announcing the Government's unemployment policy, welcomed Mr Bruce's unhesitating support of associational settlement, and expresses the opinion that the British centre ought to form a committee to take up land in the Dominions for village settlements.— Reuter.
