"pUBLIC Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The bating Act, 1908," and the amend-menr.* thereto, and "The Counties' A.:t, Z920," autl the amendments thorite, it is the intention of the Council of the County of. Egmont, at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Opunake, on TUESDAY, the 9th day of October, 1923, to make and levy the following General Rates on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the respec- | tive- ridings of the County for the i period of twelve months, from the lst day of April, 1923, to the 31st day of March, 1924, namely— OEO RlDlNG—Twopence and one farthing (2£d) in the £. OPUA RlDlNG—Twopence and one farthing (2_d) in the £. RAHOTU RlDlNG—Twopence and one farthing (2 id) in the £. i NEWALL RlDlNG—Twopence andj one farthing. (2Jd) in the £. j And that such rates shall be due and I become payable in one sum at the County Office, Opunake, on the 9th day of October, 1923, to the County Clerk J and Rate Collector. • j A rebate of five per centum will be , allowed to every ratepayer on so much of the amount of rates payable by him as is paid before the expiration of thirty days after the due date thereof.
