Lodge Cchinnan of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee) notified the American legion that he approves of its plan to ask President Coolidge to call an international conference for the limitation of military aircraft construction.

WASHINGTON. Aug. 24. President Coolidge told callers at "White House that he planned no present «ffort on behalf of, the conference for aircraft limitation, declaring the time "irae inopportune, especially because imTisuaHy pressing matters now confront European statesmen. Nevertheless, should the situation become more propitious, Mr. Coolidge stated he would gladly help to promote the matter.
