(From Our Own Correspoiideia)^ -~\ The band rotunda in the centre ofthe Manaia.Octogan is now fully 'cam- <•* pleted. The rotunda was placed In tJto*. Octogan by:"the Manaia Patriotic 3q— ' ciety as a monument to all the soMlej-*" > who left Manaia and Waimate- W«t County district during the Great War; It is-really a splendid bit of work, th«* rotunda being built in rough, east, an*t in each panel is inserted a marble sldbwith the inscription of every soldier • who left Manaia and district. Thi» work .was completed on Saturday by Messrs' Jones and Sons, Hawera," and; i-efieets great clfedit on their workmanship. The rotunda was built by Me G. Edwards and staff, which does great credit to them. The rotunda is without dtfubt equal to. any in New Zealand, fvnd^ is a credit to the Manaia Patriotior Society and to.wn. This monument wilVstand for all time, and the names of the heroes who took part in the Great War will be handed down to posterity^ '
