MELBOURNE, Aug. 14. In the House of Representatives an amending Bill abolishing taxation on Crown leaseholds was read a first time, after the Labour Party had moved an amendment that the motion be withdrawn and immediate action he taken to collect the land tax- due on Crown leases.
