SERIOUS STRIKE IN BERLIN

LONDON, Aug. 13. The Central "News Agency's Berlin correspondent says that the Communists have presented an ultimatum to the Government that unless their demands are conceded immediately the bank note printers, employees at waterworks, and other municipal employees will strike. Ninety-nine per cent of Berlin's industrial workers are now on strike, and the Communists are endeavouring to bring out the remainder.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
