FLYING OFFICERS APPOINTED

Tlie Minister of Defence has . announced the appointment of Captain L M. Isitt, son of Mr. Isitt M.P., and Captain J. C. Finiay, son of Sir John Jindlay, to fill the pilot vacancies at the Wigram aerodrome at Sookburn. These are the first officers appointed to the staff of the aerodrome by tho Government since it assumed control. ''In order to disabuse the minds of those who may think that the-matter ™* cut and dried,'' stated Sir Heaton llhodes,. "I would like to say that we submitted tho list of applications to an ex-officer of the Flying Force who is iv the Dominion. He examined the qualifications and made the selections in exactly the same order as the officers of the department who had preriously investigated the applications.'■'
