Nominal quotations for New Zealand, white 112s (110s). coloured 110s (108s); Canadian, c.i.f. 97s (995). Last week's quotations given in parentheses. LONDON MEAT MARKET. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from j their London house, under date August Lamb.—New Zealand, prime crossbred Canterbury, heavy 10£ d, light Hid; North Island, heavy 10d, light lOid. Demand better owing to warm weather. Any change of price is in favour of buyers. Mutton.—New Zealand, prime crossbred Canterbury, heavy 7d, light B£d ; North Island, heavy 7d, light Bd. Demand steady; prices firm. Beef. —New Zealand, prime ox hinds 4d, fores Sd. No demand; prices nominal. Australian frozen meat.—Good average quality lamb, heavy 9d, light 9^d. Demand fair. Good average quality mutton, heavy S^d. light ssd\ Demand steady. Very heavy quantity of chilled beefhas been pitched this week; prices .fallen to 4£d for hindquarters and 2d for forequarters ; consequently frozen beef is unsaleable. LONDON TALLOW MARKET. Messrs Dalgety and C 0... Ltd., report having received the following cablefrom from their London house, under date August 9: Tallow auctions resumed to-day, when 1330 casks were offered and 700 sold. Prices unchanged except for good mixed, quoted at 39s 6d, Is lower. Beef neglected. The Bank of New Zealand produce department has received the following advice from jts London office, under date Aug-st 9:—The demand for tallow is fair. Current quotations: Good mutton 40s 9d to 41s per cwt., good beef '40s to 40s 6d, mixed 39s to 39s 6d, gut 3us to 36s Gd.
