OTAGO BEAT SOUTHLAND,
DUNEDIN, August 11. In fine weather and on a good ground Otago wore Southland down, and had easily the better of the second half. Tries for the winners were obtained by Horgan (2), Muro. Webb (2), and Dickson. Harty kicked a penalty goal and Sinclair converted one try. Hazlet and Brown .scored for the Visitors, Rice converting.
