TE KIRI.

(From Our Own Correspondent.)

The last two .euchre parties have not been so well1 attended owing, no doubt, to the cold, weather and counterattractions. At the former the ladies* prize was won by Miss Collins, men's by Master E. Watson, and at the latter Mrs. Julian and Mr. S. Agnew were the winners. Instead of the euchre next time (Friday, 27th) the committee have decided to hold a social and dance. The last year's prizes will be presented to the children, who will give a few items throughout the evening. The charge will be 2s for gentlemen and a »a_sket for ladies. The schoolmaster (Mr. Palmer) is also procuring a few adult items, so all should have an enjoyable time.

The weather is much warmer and is very much appreciated after the very cold;- wet winter we have had. . Tf this continues the grass should soon come away,,
