SALE OF JERSEY HEIFEIIS
On Tuesday, the 17th inst., at their Palmer itoau saie-ards, the Sew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Compnay, Ltd., conducted a very successful sale of grade Jersey 2-year-old in-call heifers on account ot Mr Frederick Jioskin, of Matanu. fifty-five heifers were submited to auction, and the majority of the animals were as choice a. lot as have been available :ai Taraiiaki They were true to type, colour, weilgrovvn and in splendia condition, reflecting great credit on the vendor u> his breeding and selection, thus giving

I top price of £24 was attained on two occasions, and a number were sold at prices ranging from £1S to £22. The following :s the range of prices:— Extra choice heifers, £18 to £24; Choice, £14 to £16 10s; medium and good backward sorts, £11 to £15; small and backward sorts, £8 to £12 10s.
