' County -Council yesterday motions fUcing^' the rates in the various ridings were*-" adopted as follows: Otoia riding, Id in* the £1; Waverley riding, Id in the £ly_ - Moumahaki riding, Id in the £liKanara riding, l£d in the £1. These rates are subject "to confirmation at a future meeting. Tlie chairman expressed pleasure a_the fact that it had been found possible* to reduce the rate in the Kapara rid-— ing from lsd to l£d.
