BROADWAY CHAMBERS.

Another fine building in reinforced concrete, which marks the progress of the town and the steady displacement of the old type of building by modern business premises, is that in Princes street opposite the Empire Hotel, built to the order of the owners, Messrs. Casserley and Corcoran. The building has two storeys, and is a handsome, massive building, plain in its lines of architecture, but well finished and artistic in appearance, getting its effects by its good proportions. The ground floor is occupied by Urlich's billiard room and restaurant, both of which have every convenience and accommodation. The first floor contains five offices, fitted up in the best modern style, with strong room and all necessary conveniences. The offices have a separate staircase entrance, quite apart from the rooms on the ground floor. The whole construction reflects great credit on the architects, Messrs. Duffill and Gibson, and the contractor, Mr. J. G. Grant, and are a distinct acquisition to the business world of the town.
