LENIN.

MENTALLY DEAD.

BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT LONDON, April 2. The Moscow correspondent of the Daily Mail says that Lenin is. already mentally dead, his right side, arm and leg being completely, and his tongue partially, paralysed. The German specialist believes that the severing of a small artery in the neck, at,the time of Lenin's attempted assassination, deprived the brain of its due flow of blood, and that fatal results are now accruing. All agree that he will not participate in public life

again. The Soviet authorities keep secret the place where their leader is dying, and his sister acts as nurse

Lenin's wife, an ex-Siberian convict, is a fanatical Communist. She served a five years' sentence on the charge of attempting ;to establish a system under which Russian youth would abandon Christianity and be trained as militant atheists.

On the other hand, Lenin's sister is a Christian, and has -arranged for masses for the repose of his soul after death.
