EASTER SATURDAY
. I j Splendid entries have been received i for all events on the programme of th© ■ Gymkhana to be held on the show- ■ grounds, Hawera, on Easter Saturday, j ; March 31. On the athletic side, con-' siderably over 300 entries have been j received, including two Australasian and three New JJealand champions. J while for the trotting races and jump- s ing competitions, there are over 60 en- j tries, including;, Mr J. It. Corrigan's famous champion trotter, Man-©-War. I The entries for the open jumping include such well-known performers as Muritai, Utility, Kiriwha, Tofua, and others too numerous to mention. The Eltham Pipe Band has been specially ; engaged for the occasion. The catering! is in the capable hands of Mr W. P. | Follas. the well-known proprietor of the ! Islington Tea Rooms', Hawera, while ' the publican's booth will be conducted • In- Mr W. Jury, of the Egmont Hotel, Havrera. i
