WELLINGTON, J&n. 6. -The insurances, on Martin's fire are hot yet available. ,_ Campbell's shop and stock were insured for £4400 in the Standard, and. £600 in the State. Tingey's estimate their damage at about £4000, and the policies total £3500. Alexander and Co. are covered by £7000 in the Commercial Union. At the height of the fire five firemen on a roof at the, back of Martin's moved to safety a moment before the roof collapsed. The brigade authorities regard the fire as having removed one of the worst danger spots in the city. If there had been any wind probably most of the block would have beedestroyed. . ' ' ■<
