i Miss G. M. Ballantine, daughter of Mr Jas. Ballantine, of Caputh, chief boatman to Mr Lyle, has broken the record for Tay salmon caught with rod and line, by killing a 641b fish. The monster was caught on October 7 on Glendelome water. It was 54in. long by 28Jm. in girth, and was landed after a two hours' tussle.—Scottish paper.
