Correspondence was read from the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce . and from the New South Wales Bowling Association with reference to the proposal that a team of Taranaki bowlers join the party which leaves New Plymouth early in March by' direct .boat for Sydney. It was reported that while several bowlers were talking of joining the excursion, no\ names had been handed in to the secretary. The ho|»e'was expressed that bowlers who proposed making the trip would immediately communicate with the secre. tary of the Centre in order to , facilitate arrangements. . It was resolved that badges recently procured for representative players be made retrospective; in other 'words, that any players who have taken part in representative matches since the commencement; of the inter-provincial games be entitled to purchase a badge at 3s. Representative players desiring badges should therefore communicate ••with the secretary. ' ' I Mr. J. D. Sole was appointed the Centre's delegate at a special meeting of the D.B.A. to be held in Auckland during the New Zealand tournament. It was decided to again recommend the D.B.A. to hold a separate tournament fpr full ririks, leaving the singles and pairs tournament to be decided at some other time and place than the full rinks. < Conditions in connection with the open tournament were decided. It was decided to arrange, if possible, for, a,Taranaki touring'tee^u to play the Wellington Centre on March 6 and 7 Manawatu March 8, and Wanganuji March 9 and 10. The Auckland Centre will be invited to visit Taranaki, the following week. The North v. South match will be played in Stratford some time in February. • The Centre's open tournament will commence at New Plymouth on Wednesday, January, 24. Entries close with the secretary on January 12.
