BRITISH DEBTS.
MISSION TO AMERICA. ; BT CABLE—PBEBB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT (Received Jan. 5, 10.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 4. The British Debt Commission arrived in the Majestic and were welcomed by the British Consul-General and Assistant-Secretary of the United States Treasury. Mr Baldwin declared: "If we can come to an agreement it will be a quick one." The return passage has been booked for January 20. The party left immediately for Washington. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
