A collision between a motor cycle ■and a train at Rangiora this evening resulted in the death of James Stewart, 29, married, tellev at the Union Bank at Rangiora. When ■ approaching the Ayres Street crossing he evidently ■noticed the train approaching and applied the brakes, but the cycle skidded about fourteen yards, and was struck by the locomotive. Death was instantaneous.
